I am a highly proficient Software Developer based in London, specialising in backend (predominantly Java, but also Python). Having recently graduated from Northcoders' Java Development Bootcamp, I possess a fervent passion for Software Engineering and a genuine initiative to keep on learning. Besides solving over 120 coding challenges on Codewars, where I’ve attained the rank of 3 Kyu (3 Kyu - Java, 4 Kyu - Python, 5 kyu - JavaScript), I've also completed a Core Java Certification with LearnQuest, a full Python Web Development module with University of Michigan and Angela Yu’s 100 Days of Python.
I greatly appreciate both the problem-solving, patience and determination that programming instils. Through building websites, blogs, APIs, to-do lists, timers, console games and GUI apps in Java and Python, I became fluent in full-stack frameworks like Spring Boot and Django. I also have experience with JavaScript (specifically React framework), database management (SQL and PostgreSQL), data structures and algorithms, AWS deployment, Docker containerisation, Git version control and CI/CD pipelines. As mentioned above I am an avid learner who invests much of my free time in studying new designs, frameworks and languages.
At Northcoders I upskilled significantly through daily pair-programming, Scrum meetings and extensive use of test-driven development. My previous career as a Bandleader, Composer & Performer taught me about what it means to work as a team, listen, understand people's emotions and interact with large groups of people under pressure. As a result, I'm just as happy working collaboratively as I am being self-led. Pursuing my dream in music first allowed me to cultivate an attention to detail that is unlimited, and I will always carry this mindset with me as a Software Developer.
